Talent Show in the Bronx

On June 3rd students from our afterschool programs at PS/MS 15, PS 291, PS/MS 3, PS 79, MS 118, MS 206B and our Family Literacy program at PS 15 put on a spectacular talent show to a full house of families and friends at Lehman College's Lovinger Theater. The show is an annual event, but this was the first since the Pius XII programs were transferred to Good Shepherd. "We have a new name and new faces to enhance our programs," announced the staff in the introduction to the program, "We proudly present our Newness by celebrating change."

Our young people showed off their talents in 17 different acts, which included hip-hop, mambo, African and folk dancing, a cheer mix by the Bronx Angels, and a duet of "Our Prayer," dedicated to the late mother and grandfather of the performers.  Also featured was a skit by participants in the Family Literacy program, as well as a solo performance of ‘Wind Beneath My Wings.'
