St. Helena’s Residence Sponsors its Second Annual Winter Art Show

This January marked the Second Annual Winter Art Show held at St. Helena's Residence.  The house dining room was transformed into an art gallery, providing space for the young women in our residence to display their creative works to friends and supporters.  The show featured a wide array of pieces created with a variety of media.  The exhibits included a photojournalism project conducted on the Lower East Side, a display of decorated mirrors entitled "Reflections", which combined artistic creativity with self-realization, a Domestic Violence clothesline project, a paper quilt consisting of pieces of artwork crafted together as a tribute to the community, and a collection of individual works done by the girls.  Even the refreshments were prepared by two of our residents.  The evening was a wonderful opportunity for St. Helena's community to celebrate the creative talents of its young women.
