Eat, Drink and be Scary
This Halloween, our dedicated Foster Pride volunteers once again put together a party for our Foster Boarding Home (FBH) Program. During Saturday visitation children and families trick-or-treated at our offices, decorated cupcakes, made Halloween crafts and shared a special lunch.
Our FBH teens had a party all their own with help from corporate partners Crossfire Consulting. Mentoring activities combined with more traditional Halloween pursuits in a conference room transformed into a House of Horrors. Crossfire volunteers also ran themed game stations and judged a Best Costume contest.
The Beacon at MS 45 program in the Bronx hosted their annual Haunted House, which is open to the local children as well as the Beacon participants. The Brooklyn Beacon Community Center Halloween celebration likewise was attended by the larger Red Hook community. Staff at our Family Reception Center (FRC) offered face-painting for children at the FRC party.
