Annual Benefit Strengthens Connections

On Thursday, October 25th, Good Shepherd Services held its Fourteenth Annual Benefit at the Puck Building in Manhattan.  The Benefit provided a forum for us to celebrate our work while informing our long-time supporters as well as newfound friends about our programs.  In light of the tragedy that took place in September, the evening's program was simplified, which facilitated a more intimate gathering.  This heightened sense of community was demonstrated by the guests' reaction when Leah, a young woman from our Marian Hall residence, addressed the crowd.  Her story captured her journey from an angry, alienated runaway to a poised college student with clear goals for the future.  She moved the entire room with her heartfelt speech that expressed her pride in her personal growth and gratitude towards Good Shepherd.

The agency's largest fundraising event of the year, the Benefit successfully raised approximately $300,000, providing us with much-needed support to continue our array of innovative programs.
