Annual Benefit Salutes a Special Family

On October 17th Good Shepherd Services held its Fifteenth Annual Benefit at the Puck Building in Manhattan. This year we paid tribute to Brian and Brendan Dugan, two individuals who have played significant roles in the growth of our organization. Brendan has been a member of Good Shepherd's Board of Directors for the past 12 years and Brian has worked tirelessly on expanding corporate support of the agency's special events. The event provided a wonderful opportunity to recognize and commend the brothers for their strong commitment to Good Shepherd's mission to the vulnerable families of New York. One of the evening's highlights was speaker Veronique Charles, a former program participant from St. Helena's Residence. Veronique spoke eloquently about her positive experience in Good Shepherd's care, and acknowledged the value of donors' support in providing her with the opportunities that have shaped her into the confident young woman she is today. This year's Benefit proved to be a successful fundraiser, raising over $330,000 to support our work and enable to continue our enhanced services.
