GSS Board Member Isaac Mizrahi Wins Big!
Isaac Mizrahi, a Good Shepherd board member and our favorite fashion designer, recently matched wits with Alex Trebek and a host of other celebrities in the Jeopardy! Million Dollar Celebrity Invitational Tournament.
The tournament, which began in September 2009, and concluded on May 7th, featured 27 different celebrities each playing for a different charity, and Isaac chose to play for Good Shepherd. In April, his opponents were Saturday Night Live alum, Jane Curtin and Avatar star, CCH Pounder. Jane "buzzer beater" Curtin won that round, but Isaac was the highest non-winning quarterfinal scorer and advanced to the semi-finals when another player had to drop out.
On May 4th, he faced off against actors Michael McKeon (Spinal Tap) and Charles Shaughnessy (The Nanny, Mad Men). Though Michael McKeon eventually went on to best all of the players and won the whole tournament, to us Isaac is the real winner. As a result of his participation in Celebrity Jeopardy!, he won a total of $100,000 in support of Good Shepherd's work with young people and families!
